As Manager, Relationship Marketing Strategy you will join a team of talented and experienced marketers who focus on helping Merkle clients achieve their business goals. You will report into the Director, Relationship Marketing Strategy.
The role involves planning strategy across media and channels, developing and managing campaigns that produce measurable return on investment, and working across multiple vertical markets (Insurance, Financial Services, Non‑Profit, Retail, Automotive, Travel, Media and Entertainment, B2B, High‑Tech). You will apply your problem‑solving skills and deep understanding of businesses, brands and customers, leveraging data and technology to identify growth opportunities and develop strategic recommendations to support the expansion of client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the building, development, and delivery of strategic omni‑channel marketing plans.
Act as a subject‑matter expert and translate new technology—particularly in digital marketing and CRM—into innovative marketing strategies for the client.
Ensure meaningful client value is delivered through a mix of best‑practice solutions, skill sets, and original thinking.
Manage people and projects to achieve objectives.
Identify key data points and measurements to demonstrate the impact of our approach and strategy on the client’s business.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
6+ years of experience in data‑driven marketing—specifically CRM, email, online media, offline media—plus 2+ years working in an agency or consulting firm.
Hands‑on skills using data and research to guide decisions—proficiency in Excel and research tools.
Experience translating data analysis into actionable marketing recommendations and presentations—proficiency in PowerPoint.
Comfort and experience working within a matrixed organization with a wide latitude of authority.
Average 20% travel (contingent on comfort level of client).
The annual salary range for this position is $94,000–$152,375 based on relevant experience, knowledge and skills.
