Base pay range $85,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Utility Distribution Design Specialist This role is responsible for GPS surveys, locating overhead and underground lines, performing inspections, and documenting power distribution, and other related tasks contributing to a variety of electric distribution design projects. The Utility Distribution Design Specialist will also be instrumental in completing design tasks for electric and utility projects, as well as drafting, engineering calculations, easement validation, design and construction cost estimating, and permit package development. In addition, utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for updates or conflicts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in project execution. The person in this role will manage multiple projects at once to ensure timely and successful completion. This position will report to the Director, Systems Engineering.
Job Responsibilities
Project Management: Translate and implement Infrastructure Strategies at the local level, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Serve as the primary liaison between local teams, providing insights and feedback to refine implementation strategies.
Asset Management Platform Oversight - Lead implementation of workflows, manage and optimize the asset inventory, work orders, stock management, and work tracking. Handle day‑day operations as software administrator.
Oversee the integration of APIs with utility services and other data systems.
GIS Coordination - Supervise internal GIS functions and subcontractors. Ensure that system GIS data is continuously updated and accurate. Manage any GIS related engineering and development tasks required to complete a project.
Coordination with Central Operations - Support tools required for the operation of the business including TerraGo, Miro and Monday.com. Collaborate to continuously improve our internal process maps and TerraGo workflows.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross‑functional teams including R&D, operations, marketing, and sales to align engineering initiatives with business strategies.
Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure System and process outputs meet rigorous quality standards, are compliant with our contract metrics, and align with environmental sustainability goals. Establish processes for continuous improvement and innovation.
Skills Preferred
Underground and overhead utility experience is a plus.
Experience working in the Utility Industry is a plus.
TerraGo Software knowledge.
GIS Experience.
Monday.com knowledge and experience is a plus.
Miro platform experience preferred.
MacBook experience is a plus.
Education & Background Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Design Engineering or related field.
Underground/Overhead experience is a plus.
2-4 years Utility Industry Experience.
