The Digital Communications Specialist supports the organization’s digital communication efforts across websites, social media, email, and text messaging platforms. They create and publish engaging content, collaborate with team members, and assist with website maintenance and support for the Digital Communications Lead.
Essential Job Functions and Duties
Coordinate communications for the organization’s websites, social media accounts, email system, and text messaging platform.
Create engaging content such as graphics, illustrations, photos, and video for various digital platforms.
Plan and schedule text messages and emails.
Assist with social media efforts, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Glassdoor.
Engage with key target audiences through effective, timely, and succinct digital communications.
Monitor online interactions and conversations, such as reviews, comments, shares, likes, and follows.
Capture digital communication metrics and statistics.
Write and publish news articles and multimedia content for multiple digital platforms.
Manage day‑to‑day social media functions of the organization (e.g., update website content).
Manage and organize digital assets, including images, videos, and other files.
Utilize content management systems, email systems, texting platforms, and social media channels to communicate.
Analyze user data (e.g., click‑through rates, open rates, opt‑in/unsubscribe rates) to inform campaigns.
Strategize and generate social media conversations, likes, follows, and connections and analyze social media data.
Essential Qualifications
4–6 years of experience in mass texting, HTML email, public websites, secure intranets, and improving communications processes and systems.
4–6 years of experience working with best practices for user experience.
4–6 years of experience in healthcare communications.
Spanish bi‑lingual skills required.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proficient Adobe Creative Suite skills.
Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
Salary and Benefits Salary: $70,500 – $88,200. Actual base salary may vary based on experience, qualifications, certifications, education, performance, and market data.

Work Schedule Monday to Friday, 8–4 PM; 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week). Work can be hybrid with flexibility for evening and weekend events such as enrollment events and back‑to‑school fairs.
