Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Piping Designer role based in Lafayette, LA. The Piping Designer will be responsible for developing efficient plant layouts, designing piping systems, and creating detailed drawings and models using CAD software. Tasks include interpreting technical specifications, collaborating with engineers and other design professionals, and ensuring all projects comply with industry standards and project requirements. Additional responsibilities include reviewing designs for accuracy and contributing to the delivery of cost‑effective and practical solutions.
Qualifications
Expertise in Piping Design and Plant Layout, with a strong understanding of piping systems and their configurations.
Hands‑on experience in Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) software for accurate and precise technical drawings.
Knowledge of industry standards and practices in refineries and other industrial facilities.
Skills in problem‑solving, collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams, and meeting deadlines effectively.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure designs meet quality and safety standards.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and best practices in industrial and energy sectors is a plus.
