As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions and designs within the medical device industry. You will be responsible for creating and modeling components and assemblies, as well as prototyping and drafting using SolidWorks.
Responsibilities
Design and model components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
Create detailed drawings and prototypes for medical devices.
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to clearly communicate concepts and ideas.
Develop designs for at least 10 injection molded parts.
Integrate electrical and mechanical components into cohesive designs.
Design fixtures for test methods, lab equipment, and manufacturing processes.
Essential Skills
CAD/drafting degree from a 2-year technical college.
2 to 5 years of experience using SolidWorks.
Medical device design experience.
Experience designing at least 10 injection molded parts.
Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to ideate, sketch, and communicate design concepts effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Grand Avenue Software.
Familiarity with master reference geometry linking to multiple child parts.
PDM experience.
Product design experience with capital electrical and mechanical systems such as infusion pumps, CT, MRI, X-Ray, ventilators, dialysis, and surgical equipment.
Work Environment The role requires 100% on-site work in a collaborative workspace. You will work alongside four other members of the Mechanical Team and have access to a 3D printer for testing designs. The environment is highly collaborative, promoting teamwork and creativity.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maple Grove, MN.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $51.00/hr.
