Description Shive-Hattery's St. Louis, Missouri office has an immediate opening for a new graduate or early career Design Professional with 0 to 3 years of professional experience. This opportunity is a full-time position for a motivated individual with the ability to work & learn and the goal of obtaining an Architect license.
Under the direction of the Studio Leader this position performs a variety of duties associated with design expertise primarily on Gaming + Hospitality projects and related services, to assist in achieving desired client satisfaction, and business results.
Participates and contributes to design discussions, idea generation, collaboration, and design work in drawing, model and 3D image formats.
Manages the production and coordination of design process and technical documents under the direction of a licensed design professional.
Creates graphical images
Produces design and detailing in Revit
Attends project and client meetings with design professionals and Architects
Interacts with and is a representative of Shive-Hattery with clients and contractors as it relates to on-going projects
Participates in applicable AIA, NCARB, and/or community activities as able

Requirements
Education: Completion of accredited professional degree program with a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in architecture, or equivalent in appropriate education and experience
Experience: Entry level position and applies to new graduates and individuals with up to 3 years’ experience; Internships/summer experience is a plus
License/Certification: None
Basic knowledge of design of architectural systems, construction documentation and associated technology
Demonstrates a high degree of aptitude in critical, creative thinking associated with design and the design process
Basic understanding of architectural specifications, international building codes, life safety code and current ADA requirements.
Knowledge of programming, planning, and building performance is beneficial
Motivated and creative professional
Interested in developing the skills to design with inherent understanding of building systems; capable of designing projects in Multi-family, private developer clients, retail, restaurants with some Educational and Healthcare Sector work
Self-motivated and able to problem-solve independently.
Practical experience with Autodesk Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office is required. Working knowledge of Google SketchUp and AutoCAD is beneficial
Excellent communication skills
