Responsibilities
Lead interior design efforts on multiple projects from conceptual design through construction, using original insight and strategic thinking.
Collaborate with architectural and interior design teams to deliver innovative interior environments across diverse market sectors, including healthcare and workplace settings.
Communicate and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, consultants, medical planners, and researchers.
Develop and manage visioning, design programming, planning, and interior design strategies to meet client goals.
Maintain strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Mentor junior designers and provide creative direction to foster growth and maintain design excellence.
Develop concepts into detailed construction drawings and work with the larger team to produce construction documentation and materials specifications.
Work within project schedules to prioritize tasks and coordinate completion of documentation from initial design phase through final project completion.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related accredited program.
8+ years of professional interior design experience, preferably across diverse market sectors; project management experience is a plus.
NCIDQ or CID accreditation required.
Strong knowledge of:
Interior design concepts, materials, and furnishing requirements, including concepts, practices, standards, and principles.
Technical process for large and small‑scale interior projects.
Building materials, specifications, and construction techniques.
Applicable codes (city, state, federal).
Finish materials, FF&E selection and specification, interior design components for millwork/casework, and construction detailing.
Experience with space planning, 3D visualization, design detailing, and construction documentation.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and other industry‑standard software, plus expertise in Microsoft Office.
Salary Information Salary Range: $75,000 - $86,300 depending on experience and expertise. The pay range aligns to the geography of the office; compensation will be based on work experience, education, licensure requirements, and skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
