Your Purpose
MSC Cruises, the world’s third largest cruise line brand, is expanding its Communications team in the USA. Reporting to the Director of Media Relations, the Manager of Media Relations will support corporate communications functions. This is a hybrid position requiring four days per week in the office, in Miami.
Your Impact
Develop and draft reactive media statements
Support the management and oversight of the U.S. Corporate Communications Agency
Provide guidance for crisis communications and irregular operations
Lead community relations initiatives in port cities and key DMAs
Support internal communications initiatives, events and employee engagement initiatives
Collaborate with the company’s government affairs team members
Support special events
Support both earned and paid media efforts
Support sustainability, corporate communications and media relations efforts
Manage reactive media measurement and tracking
Develop and manage scenario plans for irregular operations and issues management matters
Review and support guest messaging for irregular operations
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders in key markets
Develop and maintain strong regional and corporate media relationships
Your Journey so far
Fluent English, oral and written skills
Associated corporate communication, media, and/or public affairs experience preferred
Excellent organizational and planning skills with a strong attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proactive nature and enthusiasm toward assignments
Ability to work well with others and to coordinate work effectively across teams
Proven ability to work well under pressure, juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
Proven track record in media outreach
Tactical understanding of all primary social media platforms
College degree from a four‑year accredited college
At least five years of public relations, corporate communication, media, and/or public affairs experience at an agency or in‑house
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive
Experience with newswire distribution for press releases
Knowledge of online content management systems
Ability to keep information confidential
