With a focus on Other-Worldly Customer Service and Fanatical Attention to the consumer’s needs, the brand seeks a dedicated Graphic Designer to elevate its visual communications.
Location Chicago, IL (On-site)
Overview AKIRA is looking for an experienced graphic designer to design creative media to support the marketing team. The Graphic Designer will design digital commerce marketing assets as well as in-store signage and print assets. This individual will produce and maintain daily marketing design updates based on the marketing planning calendar.
Essential Functions
Manage projects from concept through production (print, newsletters/emails, coupons, website asset design, social media, and more).
Actively participate in concept and design of brand collateral for AKIRA.
Maintain an intimate understanding of the AKIRA brand and customer, staying up‑to‑date on industry trends.
Swap, update, and maintain visual assets on shopAKIRA.com.
Collaborate cross‑functionally to create a cohesive brand experience across all channels.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in Graphic Design, preferably within marketing/retail.
Strong ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects/deadlines.
Strong understanding of typography and layout.
Self‑motivated, with strong organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.
Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Some understanding of HTML.
Shopify experience is a plus.

Salary & Compensation At AKIRA, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices. The starting pay for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, subject to adjustment based on experience, qualifications, and other job‑related factors. Additional compensation and benefits may also apply and will be discussed during the hiring process.
