Position Overview Full‑time tenure‑track position in Applied Oboe to begin Fall 2026. Responsibilities include teaching studio courses, leading woodwind ensembles, performing chamber music, supervising research, and contributing to departmental service.
Responsibilities
Teach and maintain an undergraduate and graduate studio in applied oboe.
Deliver studio and reed‑making classes.
Coach woodwind ensembles.
Perform chamber music with faculty ensembles.
Recruit students and serve as a visible resource to the local music community.
Engage in research, creative activity, and service on departmental, college, and university committees.
Qualifications
Earned terminal degree in oboe performance or equivalent (D.M.A. or D.M.). ABD candidates near completion will be considered.
Record of successful teaching and recruiting of oboe students at college level.
Performance history at regional and national levels.
Active involvement in professional double‑reed organizations.
Active schedule of performances and scholarly activities.
