Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

About the Opportunity Asakura Robinson is seeking a senior landscape architect to join our team with a focus on community-based and public-facing projects. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, mission-driven landscape architect who demonstrates strong design acumen, solid technical skills, and a deep interest in working with historically underserved communities and environmental and social ecosystems.

This is an opportunity to work with other senior staff in the firm to lead a strong and creative office culture and contribute to building meaningful projects that shape public space, restore ecological systems, and empower communities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture or related field

10+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software (SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, etc.)

Strong graphic communication and conceptual design skills

Working knowledge of sustainable communities and green infrastructure practice

Working knowledge of landscape design and construction; technically proficient with experience in construction documentation and detailing

Experience in community engagement, participatory design, or public realm projects is a strong plus

Experience in Project and Design Studio management

Experience in Client Management

Experience in well-written and regarded reports, white paper presentations, and other publications

Experience in successful business development, public presentations, and Interviews

Licensure in Landscape Architecture

Additional Desired Skills

Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM), Bluebeam, and GIS mapping

Fluency in written and spoken English is required

Job Requirements

Ability to travel: local project-related travel as required, including project-related site visits*

Work a minimum of eight hours per day, five days per week

Sit or stand at a desk for extended periods

Be fluent in written and spoken English

Be able to walk and move around at job sites

Be able to kneel, crouch, or stoop to position oneself to see different areas of project sites
