Schedule:
Flexible hours; occasional nights/weekends as needed
Our client is a mission-driven media team producing high-impact content focused on addiction recovery, homelessness outreach, intervention storytelling, music videos, and powerful real-life testimonials. We’re seeking a
Senior Film Editor & Creative Lead
to shape the visual identity of their growing brand.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all editing for long‑form and short‑form content
Oversee color grading, sound design, stabilization, transitions, and final output
Maintain a consistent visual identity across platforms and productions
Creative Direction
Collaborate directly with founders to bring concepts to life with a polished, cinematic style
Develop storyboards, shot lists, and creative concepts for scripted and documentary content
Provide input on lighting, framing, composition, and on‑set capture when needed
Supervise, mentor, and assign tasks to a small creative team
Manage project timelines and ensure deadlines are met
Encourage collaboration while maintaining efficient workflows and professional communication
Production Support
Attend on‑set shoots for music videos, recovery interviews, outreach documentation, and interventions
Capture B‑roll, behind‑the‑scenes footage, and supplemental material when additional support is needed
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of professional experience in film editing or post‑production
Expert‑level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and/or Final Cut Pro
Strong storytelling instincts with the ability to edit emotionally compelling, real‑life narratives
Experience leading or mentoring small creative teams
Ability to work under tight deadlines and pivot quickly as projects evolve
Experience using green screen, virtual backgrounds, and AI‑assisted editing tools is a strong plus
Communication Skills The senior video editor communicates clearly, confidently, and effortlessly in English. The pace of work is fast, with creative editing, recovery‑related terminology, nuanced content, and real‑time collaboration — so being able to express ideas smoothly and respond quickly is key. During the interview, we’ll be looking for a strong, natural, concise communicator.
Flexible Schedule and Fast‑Paced Workflow This role isn’t tied to a typical office 9‑5 schedule. Work can shift quickly, and new projects often come up without a lot of lead time (sometimes under 24 hrs). If you’re someone who can adjust easily, reprioritize, and jump in when needed, you’ll thrive here.
Personal Qualities
Calm, patient, and steady under pressure
Passionate about mission‑driven, recovery‑focused storytelling
Creative problem solver who adapts quickly
Values integrity, confidentiality, and respect when working with vulnerable populations
Bonus Experience
Experience shooting (cinema cameras, mirrorless, lighting)
Motion graphics or animation skills
Social media editing trends (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
Drone operation
Color grading expertise
Flexible schedule with some remote editing permitted; must be available in person for select shoots and meetings
This is a full‑time position working onsite in the Deerfield Beach, FL area. You must reside within reasonable driving distance. Candidates with a personal passion for addiction and recovery are also encouraged to apply, though this is not mandatory.
To apply, please submit your resume and portfolio link/case studies for immediate consideration.
