UX Designer II, Amazon Delivery Experience
We are looking for a UX Designer to join our team, where you’ll play a crucial role in powering Amazon’s global delivery network through innovative technology and human‑centered design. This isn’t just about creating interfaces – it’s about designing systems that directly impact the safety, efficiency, and well‑being of thousands of associates worldwide.
In this role you will tackle complex operational challenges that bridge digital and physical experiences. Your work will directly influence how our delivery associates interact with technology, equipment, and spaces, shaping the future of logistics at scale. You’ll need to think holistically, understanding not just user interface design but also hardware integration, ergonomics, safety protocols, and business operations. Your designs will help ensure worker health and safety, reduce fatigue, maintain operational excellence, and build lasting trust with both our workforce and customers.
Key Job Responsibilities
Execute the design strategy for complex operational systems, balancing immediate needs and long‑term scalability
Define and improve design patterns, standards, and processes that can be adopted across teams
Drive cross‑functional alignment through clear communication of design decisions and trade‑offs
Identify and solve root causes of widespread operational challenges through innovative solutions
Contribute to design reviews and critiques, ensuring high‑quality outcomes across multiple workstreams
Partner with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility while maintaining design integrity
Aggregate and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to inform product‑level design decisions
Influence product strategy and roadmap decisions through data‑informed design recommendations
Champion user‑centered design practices across the organization
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of practical UX design experience, with an emphasis on content discovery and/or content engagement experiences
3+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX or interaction designer
Experience collaborating with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders
Demonstrated interaction design and visual craft skills, including prototyping mobile experiences
An aesthetic sense and the ability to make confident decisions
Demonstrated empathy for the people using your software or products
Expertise with Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, or similar tools
Have an available online portfolio
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on associate‑facing software experiences
Executed research plans by talking to real customers
Knowledge of design systems
Formal education in Design, Interaction/UX Design or HCI
Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
