A contemporary San Francisco based women’s brand celebrated for its luxurious knitwear, exceptional craftsmanship, and speciality retail locations across the US, is seeking a Marketing Director to join their team. You will develop and execute the overall marketing strategy to drive sales. The role includes the management of all aspects of marketing and overseeing brand presence across digital and physical channels, working closely with other departments, including design, sales and finance to ensure brand consistency that supports the delivery of clear and measurable goals. Person can be based in San Francisco or Los Angeles (would need to travel regularly to SF for day trips).
Key Responsibilities
Brand strategy: Manage the marketing strategy in alignment with the company story, design aesthetic, brand values and business objectives. This involves cross‑functional collaboration, with the CEO/Design Director, product development, sales, retail, and wholesale, to ensure that brand and campaign strategies are consistent and effective across all functions.
Creative Art Direction: Lead the creative and visual direction of photoshoots including casting, styling, and brand storytelling to deliver visual assets for lookbooks, web, IG and retail.
Digital and content marketing: Oversee digital marketing initiatives, social media, influencer marketing, and the brand’s overall online presence to drive awareness, engagement, and conversions. Maintain an effective set of KPIs to ensure the effective use of digital dollars.
Campaign and launch execution: Lead the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including new product launches, seasonal collections, and strategic partnerships.
Customer and market insights: Translate customer and market insights into actionable strategies for segmentation, messaging, and media planning to ensure the brand remains relevant to its target audience.
Live events and public relations: Manage the marketing and staging of live events, fashion shows, and public relations initiatives to enhance the brand’s public image.
Who You Are
10+ years of experience in fashion brand marketing, with a focus on retail or wholesale.
Deep understanding of women’s consumer behaviors and cultural trends.
Proven track record of developing and executing high‑impact brand marketing campaigns across digital, social, and traditional channels.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross‑functional teams and external partners.
Exceptional storytelling and creative sensibility with a passion for women’s and fashion content.
Ability to navigate a fast‑paced, matrixed organization and drive alignment across teams.
Data‑driven mindset with experience leveraging insights to inform marketing strategies.
