Position Summary
The Marketing & Development Director is responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive fundraising and communications strategy that supports the mission and growth of One by One Ministries, a nonprofit faith-based organization. This role combines marketing, public relations, donor development, and fundraising with a clear understanding of Christian values and nonprofit stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic marketing and communications plans that align with the organization’s mission and values.
Manage brand identity across all platforms (print, digital, social media, events).
Oversee creation of content for newsletters, press releases, blog posts, annual reports, and other marketing materials.
Maintain and grow digital presence, including website, email campaigns, and social media.
Coordinate public relations efforts, including media outreach and crisis communication when needed.
Lead and grow all fundraising initiatives including annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, grant writing, capital campaigns, and special events.
Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, foundations, sponsors, churches, and community partners.
Identify new funding opportunities and strategic partnerships to increase support.
Oversee donor database management system, Network for Good, and acknowledge all donations received.
Track and report fundraising metrics and KPIs.
Collaborate with executive leadership to align marketing and development efforts with organizational goals.
Supervise volunteers who assist with fundraising events and bulk mailings to donors.
Prepare and manage departmental budget in alignment with financial goals.
Provide regular updates and reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree or CFRE preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, and development, preferably in a nonprofit or faith-based setting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a compelling storytelling ability.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals and securing grant funding.
Proficiency in digital marketing, CRM systems, social media platforms, and donor management software.
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with and commitment to the Christian faith and values of One by One Ministries.
Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $60,000-$65,000/year; fulltime, M-F 40 hrs/wk in-office position that reports to the Executive Director.
