Project Manager/Expeditor – Business of Home

Billy Cotton is seeking to fill a Project Manager/Expeditor. This unique position combines the project‑management functions of a designer with the logistical and operational responsibilities of an expeditor. We need someone experienced who can immediately support the office with shipping, organization, and installation, while providing project‑management support to a designer on staff. This is not an entry‑level role; it demands analytical, process‑driven skill.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the senior designer and principal on all phases of design projects.
Provide support and assistance on concept development, project management, client and vendor communication, presentation skills, budgeting, FFE selection, coordination & billing.
Offer logical, purchasing, and operational support to all design teams.
Help maintain inventory and serve as point of contact for movers and storage warehouses.
Experience & Qualifications
Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field, or relevant work experience.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong visual and spatial awareness with attention to detail and aesthetics.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Time‑management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Adaptability to evolving design concepts and client preferences.
