Senior Piping Designer – Eichleay, Inc. Full‑time position based in Ferndale, WA. Competitive compensation of $40–75 per hour, 401(k) match, and comprehensive benefits package.

Job Summary Lead design efforts for greenfield and brownfield projects across oil & gas, mining, food & beverage, and power sectors. Responsible for creating and reviewing piping layouts, isometrics, and support details; coordinating with other disciplines; providing on‑site support; and mentoring junior designers.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and review piping layouts, isometrics, and support details using CAD tools (e.g., CADWorx).

Interpret and apply P&IDs, plot plans, tie‑in lists, and piping specifications.

Lead design for greenfield and brownfield projects.

Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve design issues and maintain project schedules.

Provide on‑site support during construction phases, including troubleshooting and design adjustments.

Mentor junior designers and manage small to mid‑sized design teams (1–12 designers).

Utilize 3D laser scanning for accurate modeling and tie‑in planning.

Qualifications

10+ years’ experience in Piping Design.

Associate degree in Computer‑Aided Drafting and Design or equivalent technical training.

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, CADWorx, Navisworks, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience with P&IDs, isometrics, MTOs, and 3D laser scans.

Ability to manage budgets and schedules; lead model reviews.

Familiarity with industry design standards.

Experience coordinating with other disciplines and clients.

Preferred Experience

Inputting piping specifications into CADWorx.

Creating and manipulating Isogen borders and setups.

Performing 3D scans in the field.

Using CADWorx Equipment and Support Modeler.

Experience with Autodesk Vault.

Worked within high‑value engineering centers abroad.

Other Requirements

RSO Safety Training or current card; Client Safety Training; TWIC certification or ability to obtain.

Background screening and random drug/alcohol program.

Frequent travel to nearby refinery sites.

Work Environment

Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Requirements for hearing and vision; use of safety tones.

Overtime may be necessary; work at client sites or in the field.

Follow client site rules and infection protocols.
