Join us as an Instructional Design Specialist, delivering high‑quality learning solutions in the healthcare and life science sector.
Base Pay Range $45.00/hr - $54.00/hr
Duration 12‑Month Contract
Location Marlborough, MA (Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week)
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop learning materials with clear performance‑based objectives, including instructor‑led training, e‑learning modules, videos, simulations, and multimedia assets.
Conduct needs assessments with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to identify learning objectives, audience characteristics, and performance gaps, using data‑driven insights.
Create comprehensive curricula that align with organizational goals, sequencing and scaffolding learning experiences logically.
Leverage a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to design engaging, interactive learning experiences, applying adult learning theory and cognitive psychology.
Work with Articulate360 (or similar) to develop Tier 1 e‑learning modules and coordinate with the learning technologist for dynamic delivery.
Collaborate with STMs, Product Marketing, and stakeholders on strategic projects, product launches, and training campaigns.
Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness of materials, incorporating stakeholder feedback.
Support learning and design processes to meet Quality System, Compliance, and Legal requirements.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting delivery timelines and budgets.
Develop evaluation strategies to measure effectiveness, analyze data, and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
BA in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years instructional design, curriculum development, and technical writing experience.
Proficiency with Articulate Storyline (or similar) for Tier 1 training and LMS.
Experience with Microsoft Suite (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM), and learning theories.
Ability to initiate work independently and collaborate within a team.
Strong project‑management skills, managing multiple projects with deadlines.
Creative problem‑solving and passion for innovation in learning design.
Quick adaptation to new terminology, including medical and sales terminology.
