The Vice President of Strategic Marketing serves as the enterprise’s senior marketing leader, responsible for shaping the long-term brand vision, market positioning, and customer engagement strategy for a $5B retail organization with over 200 locations. This executive sets the strategic direction for how the brand competes, grows, and differentiates—leveraging deep consumer understanding, advanced analytics, and integrated storytelling to drive customer loyalty, strengthen market share, and support the company’s growth agenda. This role is a critical advisor to the Executive Leadership Team, ensuring marketing strategies directly support enterprise priorities, financial objectives, and future expansion. Job Duties and Essential Functions Set and oversee the enterprise marketing strategy , ensuring alignment with long-term business goals, growth plans, and competitive positioning. Provide vision and leadership for all brand-building and customer engagement efforts , including brand architecture, creative direction, digital experience, multichannel marketing, sponsorships, CRM, and loyalty platforms. Establish and elevate the company’s strategic brand positioning and value propositions , ensuring consistency and relevance across all customer touchpoints. Lead enterprise-level insights and analytics , integrating consumer behavior, market intelligence, and performance data to guide priorities, optimize spend, and anticipate future trends. Champion a digital-first strategy , driving innovation across SEO, SEM, digital content, and omnichannel engagement to accelerate traffic, conversion, and customer lifetime value. Evaluate and respond to market dynamics , competitive movements, and economic conditions to recalibrate marketing strategies proactively. Oversee new store and new market entry marketing strategies , ensuring strong launch plans that accelerate awareness and local customer adoption. Create a unified measurement framework

that evaluates performance across all platforms, clarifies ROI, and supports data-driven decision making. Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Operations, Finance, HR, and Supply Chain

to align marketing priorities with enterprise initiatives and growth plans. Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing organization , fostering innovation, accountability, and operational excellence. Represent the marketing function at the executive level , providing clear strategic recommendations and thought leadership. Qualifications 15+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience

within retail or a comparable multi-unit, consumer-facing industry. Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide brand, digital, and customer engagement strategies. Deep experience with CRM, loyalty programs, and data-driven marketing ecosystems. Strong financial acumen with experience managing large budgets and delivering measurable ROI. Proven ability to lead large teams, influence cross-functional partners, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex strategies to executive leaders and frontline teams. Demonstrated integrity, professional maturity, and sound judgment.
