Job Summary:

Anticipated Salary Range:
$80,434.00 – $110,000.00
Essential Job Responsibilities
Develop, write, and update technical documentation for internal and external audiences, including user guides, API documentation, integration manuals, and system architecture descriptions.
Collaborate with QA and development teams to document test plans, test cases, and test results.
Draft, review, and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other compliance‑related documents.
Edit, standardize, and proofread content for clarity, consistency, grammar, and technical accuracy.
Collaborate with graphics team to incorporate screenshots, diagrams, and other visual aids.
Contribute to corporate communications and marketing collateral.
Accurately record and distribute meeting minutes for critical development, security, and project planning meetings.
Interview SMEs, developers, and product managers to gather necessary information.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
U.S. citizenship and a current Secret level U.S. Government security clearance.
Relevant experience: 6 years with a Bachelor’s; 4 years with a Master’s; or 10 years with a High School Diploma.
Strong technical writing experience within a software or technology environment.
Proficiency in capturing and editing screenshots and graphics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, and documentation tools (Markdown, HTML/CSS, Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat).
Knowledge of documentation standards and Agile methodologies.
Proficiency with AI writing assistance and content generation tools (optional).
Ability to work hybrid, spending ~1 day per week in Columbia, MD office.
Preferred Requirements
Cybersecurity domain experience in a technical writing role.
