Our Client, an Oilfield Services company, is looking for a Structural AutoCAD Designer for their Houston, TX location.
Responsibilities:
Utilization of software such as AVEVA (E3D), AutoCAD for development of design drawing packages.
Interface directly with Lead structural engineer, other discipline counterparts in the same team as directed.
Ensure all design projects meet design standards and adhere to applicable codes and regulations.
Assist with checking, updating, and maintaining structural design standards and procedures.
Prioritize meeting discipline project scopes while adhering to schedules and budgets.
Responsible for initial setup of AutoCAD drawings based on files received from Lead Engineer.
Create plans and details based on sketches and red line markups received from discipline Lead Engineer.
Assist in maintaining, expanding, and improving AVEVA (E3D) and CAD standards.
Work with the discipline team to coordinate, develop, and maintain project coordination models using MS office, AutoCAD, Navisworks and AVEVA (E3D).
Comply with Company’s Quality Control and Project Management procedures.
Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Associate’s degree in Computer Aided Drafting or equivalent experience is required.
10 years of experience is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, AVEVA/E3D is required.
Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
