Job Summary Miller Electric – Prefabrication Designer reports to the Prefabrication Manager. Responsibilities are focused on supporting Prefabrication Initiatives for the company. In this role you will contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely, and accurate manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Create Prefabrication Solutions for Construction Projects
Coordinate with Prefabrication Manager on inputs required for Prefabrication Execution
Provide input on Prefabrication Process
Create documentation that informs the Prefabrication Team what to build utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, Excel, and Bluebeam
Edit and track Prefabrication schedules
Aid in the creation of detailed bill of materials
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Demonstrate problem‑solving ability and work under rigorous schedules
Prioritize and multitask in a fast‑paced environment
Core Accountabilities
10% Communication, Meetings
30% Work on prefabrication shop floor with team
50% Create collateral for prefabrication team to build
10% Coordinate with Project Teams
Physical Demands
Ability to work in an industrial environment
Ability to maneuver 25+ lbs on a regular basis
Ability to withstand extended exposure to a computer monitor, which may at times be straining on the eyes
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the physical demands
Travel Demands Travel is primarily local during the business day. Ability to qualify for DOT Certification is preferred.
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documentation
Understanding of construction project flows and sequences
Minimum five years of commercial electrical experience with a focus on conduit fabrication and installation
Experience running crews of electricians preferred
Experience working with prefabrication preferred
Membership in the IBEW will be required as a condition for employment (if not currently a member)
Ability to draw, dimension, and communicate ideas
Ability to research and comprehend materials, tools, and equipment
Experience with Navisworks or Autodesk Construction Cloud preferred
Basic AutoCAD and/or Revit experience preferred
Bluebeam experience preferred
Demonstrates a willingness to learn and efficiently use software such as Bluebeam, Microsoft 365, and file‑sharing platforms
