About Position Role: AVP Sales- Communications & Media

The Client Partner – Comms and Media position is a key role responsible for executing sales and business development strategies for target companies in the Communications and Media Industry. The position’s primary responsibility is to achieve sales results for Persistent’s Communication and Media Vertical services. The candidate will develop revenue‑producing relationships with decision‑making CxO level executives at targeted firms, as well as drive the sales cycle of all assigned sales opportunities from initial prospect communication through contract execution. This is a quota‑carrying role with support provided by Inside sales, Pre‑sales, Marketing and Lead‑generating existing channels.
What you will be provided The role will be provided with a dedicated team of Inside sales for the targeted accounts to perform outbound lead generation. An industry‑aligned Pre‑sales team to help prepare collaterals, a Marketing team to run campaigns for inbound lead‑gen or targeted executives reach out and existing channels in motion to support your role with leads and opportunities to close.
Spear‑tip offerings, use cases, client references and subject matter experts to tag team with for a customer win.
What you will do
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets established by the CMT vertical leaders
The candidate is the focal point for all communication and sales activities with prospects and customers.
Execute business development, offering positioning and sales strategies as a member of the sales team.
Achieve and manage lead generation, prospecting and other sales management goals designed to build an optimal sales pipeline.
Develop strong, long‑term relationships and referrals with senior management at targeted firms
Manage the end‑to‑end sales process for all opportunities including initial client communication, on‑site presentations, RFI response, multi‑day client workshops, RFP submission, negotiation and deal signing.
Work in close collaboration with Persistent’s presales team & practice teams to ensure that proposed offerings and services fully meet customers’ business and technology needs.
Provide support to customers during initial phases of an engagement. Follow up and ensure total client satisfaction through the life cycle of the relationship
Demonstrate strong personal communication and presentation skills to establish interest, credibility, and trust.
Self‑motivated to sell services, solutions, and platforms to telecom customers.
What you will bring

You have Excellent selling experience in Communication (including Telecom, Unified Collab, Platforms, Communication Applications and Media Vertical)
You have proven experience of managing and growing a portfolio.
You know how to structure strong large deal, particularly in outsourcing and transformation areas
You are well versed with customer profiling, account planning and set revenue / margin targets
You have Consultative skills.
You possess strong product / technology / industry knowledge.
You have Strong focus on Client Service excellence.
