Overview The Business Development/Marketing Manager will support growth initiatives, drive market visibility, strengthen client relationships, and advance strategic business development efforts in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute BD plans aligned with office goals and market opportunities.
Work with attorneys to identify target clients, pitch opportunities, and strategic growth areas.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client developments to inform strategy.
Conduct research to support client targeting and industry positioning.
Prepare materials for pitches, proposals, presentations, and strategic meetings.
Support thought leadership efforts, including speaking engagements, publications, and awards.
Collaborate with PR, marketing, and events teams to enhance visibility and deliver high-impact programs.
Build relationships with local industry groups and professional associations.
Support alumni engagement and coordinate outreach initiatives.
Mentor junior BD team members and foster cross-office collaboration.
Help manage budgets, track BD activity, and support ongoing department initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required;
marketing, business, or related fields preferred.
7+ years of business development or marketing experience, in a law firm / legal environment.
Strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Experience with CRM tools, research platforms, Microsoft Office, and virtual meeting technology.
Ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and present insights clearly.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
Collaborative, proactive, and confident working with senior stakeholders.
