Social Media Manager, Venmo
Join PayPal's Venmo team to lead social media and influencer marketing initiatives focused on integrated campaigns and college initiatives. This role reports to the Director, Brand & Social and collaborates closely with the Venmo social agency.

Job Summary Lead creative content strategy and execution across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Snapchat with a deep fluency in Gen Z culture and trends. Activate Venmo’s footprint within campus culture, student‑athlete engagement, and major collegiate events while driving brand narrative.
Essential Responsibilities
Execute marketing campaigns and initiatives to achieve business goals.
Analyze marketing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement marketing content and materials.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment with marketing strategies.
Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing marketing processes.
Monitor and report on the performance of marketing activities.
Additional Responsibilities
Oversee social strategies for campaign and college programs; plan, produce, and publish organic content.
Manage influencer programs, source, brief, and track performance.
Stay current with Gen Z culture, emerging trends, and platform‑specific best practices.
Work closely with marketing, product, brand strategy, legal, compliance, and customer support to integrate social into broader campaigns.
Support community management beyond owned channels by fostering conversations.
Partner with PM, Production, & Integrated Marketing to manage calendars, approvals, and agency deliverables.
Generate ideas that create breakthrough moments and increase audience engagement.
Expected Qualifications
5+ years relevant experience in social media management, including organic content and influencer work.
Proficiency with major social platforms: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat.
Strong content creation instincts: copywriting, visual storytelling, and short‑form video.
Strong project management skills across multiple campaigns and stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with experience using social analytics tools.
Cultural fluency with Gen Z culture and ability to originate or follow trends.
Excellent communication skills and ability to give clear input across teams.
Understanding of compliance and regulation in marketing for financial services.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Leadership capability and strategic thinking.
Agile adaptability to evolving social trends.
Prior work with social agencies or external partner relationships.
Experience creating social content in campaign mode.
Portfolio of impactful Gen Z‑focused campaigns.
