Position Purpose: The Media Director will lead and elevate The Home Depot's Influencer and Affiliate Centers of Excellence, guiding the strategy, operations, and innovation that drive these fast-growing channels. This role provides strategic direction, hands‑on leadership, and cross‑functional partnership to ensure best‑in‑class execution across Influencer collaborations, Creator programs, Affiliate partnerships, and performance‑driven content. In addition to stewarding these core channels, the Media Director will collaborate with teams across the broader media ecosystem‑including digital, paid social, organic social, media partnerships, and sports/sponsorship marketing‑to ensure cohesive, omni‑channel integration and measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

40% Team Leadership – Ensures channel teams focus areas and activities are consistent with and support the company's overarching goals and objectives; selects, develops, and motivates assigned staff; influences people both inside and outside (e.g., agencies) of the media department to drive quality execution of the media plan while maintaining strong working relationships.

10% Budget Management – Helps oversee and manage our scaled budgets across agencies, campaigns, and partners.

25% Cross‑Functional Partnership – Builds strong internal and external relationships to drive influence from the channel’s lens and help deliver on our marketing and business objectives; ensures team thinking, opportunities and partnerships are cutting edge and keeps The Home Depot on the forefront of activation, implementation, and measurement best practices.

25% Strategic Direction – Creates an industry‑leading media team supporting Enterprise marketing and media efforts as well as The Home Depot's Retail Media offering; responsible for the long‑term thinking and strategic direction of the channel teams; includes thinking outside of the current day‑to‑day environment to create a vision of what the future looks like in the marketing and media world.

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

This Position typically reports to Sr Director Channels.

This Position has 6 Direct Reports.

Travel Requirements:

Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive experience leading large teams and managing and/or activating relevant channels that fall within oversight; excellent understanding of the media ecosystem and its innerworkings is required.

Ability to quickly process information and data to make recommendations and provide team guidance.

Leads scaled media team and is effective at managing and leading people.

Identifies team strengths and weaknesses and provides coaching and training so that team can deliver what's needed to excel.

Identifies, develops, instills trust with and motivates assigned team members.

Acts nimbly, quickly and is comfortable with change in the modern marketing world.

Confident communicator with strong public speaking & presentation skills.

Skilled negotiator.

Minimum Education:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
