Base pay range $85.00/hr - $90.00/hr
A top home builder in South Florida is seeking a Communications Director for a three-month contract role. This position will work closely with the SVP of Communications on internal and external communications, public relations, and special initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience supporting or working within a public company, exceptional writing and editing skills, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment. This is a hybrid role, with four days per week in the office and one day remote.
Job Function
Develop and execute comprehensive internal and external communication strategies.
Oversee brand messaging to ensure consistency across all channels, including press, digital, and executive communications.
Manage media relations, including press outreach, interviews, and responses to public inquiries.
Lead crisis communication planning and provide real-time guidance during sensitive situations.
Create and review written materials such as press releases, speeches, talking points, newsletters, and key announcements.
Partner with executive leadership to craft messaging that aligns with organizational goals and priorities.
Supervise social media strategy and content to strengthen brand presence and engagement.
Monitor communication performance metrics and adjust strategies for improved impact.
Guide and mentor the communications team, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
Job Requirements
Experience in PR for a public company (either as a client partner or internal employee).
Comfortable working with high-level executives.
10+ year of experience required.
