We’re seeking a Public Relations Account Director with deep expertise in travel, hospitality, and food & beverage to lead strategy, client relationships, and team performance across our growing portfolio.
Position Overview As an Account Director, you will oversee client strategy, foster strong relationships, and drive measurable results across Alchemy’s accounts. This role calls for a highly strategic communicator with leadership instincts, exceptional media relationships, and the ability to manage multiple accounts and teams in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
Key Responsibilities Client Liaison: Serve as the senior point of contact for clients, providing proactive strategic counsel and ensuring alignment between client objectives and agency deliverables.
Team Leadership: Lead and support account teams (3–6 accounts), overseeing workflow, performance, and professional development to maintain consistent excellence.
Leverage high‑level industry relationships to secure impactful media opportunities and guide overarching communications strategies.
Monitor trends and insights within hospitality, travel, and culture to shape forward‑thinking campaigns that anticipate market shifts.
Pitching & Media Relations
Direct the development of compelling story angles, press materials, and creative outreach strategies.
Consistently pitch and secure high‑value media placements that enhance client visibility and strengthen brand reputation.
Account Direction: Lead creative and strategic initiatives that elevate Alchemy’s profile and ensure clients stay ahead of industry trends.
Relationships: Build and maintain trusted, long‑term client partnerships grounded in creativity, strategy, and measurable success.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
7–10 years of relevant experience in public relations, ideally within hospitality, travel, or lifestyle sectors.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Muck Rack, Cision, Dropbox, and (preferably) Monday.com.
Proven ability to lead teams and thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
