Job Description The KPFF Industrial Group is hiring a Project Manager to lead multi-discipline design teams on manufacturing facilities and related infrastructure projects. Based in our downtown Seattle office, the role involves collaborating with engineers, architects, and design professionals to ensure projects are delivered within scope, schedule, and budget while fostering strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all phases of project delivery, from initial schematic design through construction support and project closeout.

Lead multi-disciplinary design teams to establish project goals, objectives, and deliverables.

Develop and execute project plans, budgets, and schedules.

Monitor project progress and identify and mitigate risks.

Oversee and manage QA/QC processes related to project submissions.

Ensure the delivery of high-quality projects within scope and budget constraints.

Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships as the main point of contact.

Lead project meetings with team members and clients.

Understand client needs and objectives and align project strategies accordingly.

Communicate project progress, issues, and solutions effectively to clients.

Identify opportunities for additional services and client satisfaction.

Oversee project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial performance.

Review and approve change orders, amendments, and project expenditures.

Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and billing to clients.

Foster a positive workplace culture within the Industrial Group.

Collaborate with project teams and provide leadership and guidance.

Mentor and develop junior staff members.

Contribute to developing best practices and process improvements.

Assist in developing business strategies and identifying growth opportunities.

Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and potential clients.

Collaborate with leadership to create and execute business development initiatives.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.

At least 7 years of experience in engineering or architectural design, project management, construction management, or a combination of relevant experience.

Understanding of complex projects integrating architecture, structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Project.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with team members, clients, and subconsultants.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience in project management.

Strong understanding of project finance and budgeting.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.

Physical Demands

Duties are primarily conducted in an office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.

Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.

Occasionally visiting construction sites may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.

Traveling to project sites or client meetings, which may involve driving or flying.

Compensation The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate is

$90,000 - $140,000 annually . Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.
