$65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr ROLE SUMMARY: Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Development, the Communications Manager will serve as a key contributor to the organization’s storytelling and brand presence, and as the VP’s “right-hand” in overseeing a broad communications portfolio. This individual will play a pivotal role in messaging, content creation, and visibility efforts, ensuring that communications reflect the mission while supporting both day-to-day needs and long-term succession planning for the department. DUTIES: Partner with the marketing team to review, refine, and produce communication materials, including direct mail, email campaigns, digital ads, and social media posts. Research and craft content for the Annual Report and Summer Newsletter, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals. Design and maintain a Communications Roadmap that outlines monthly themes, content strategies, event messaging, and digital marketing efforts. Coordinate and schedule e-blast campaigns for major events. Prepare speeches for the President & CEO, reflecting the organization’s distinct voice and mission. Develop scripts for “Thank You” videos and press releases, showcasing achievements and partnerships. Serve as lead liaison for articles, collaborating with partners to expand national visibility. Produce and distribute impact stories that highlight the organization’s work and community benefits. Capture visual content (photos and videos) at local campaigns and events for promotional use. Assist in event support by managing e-blasts and documenting event highlights. Maintain communication standards, ensuring consistency across platforms and adherence to writing guidelines. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve effective communication outcomes. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field. 2–5 years of relevant experience in communications, content development, or campaign coordination (nonprofit experience strongly valued). Demonstrated experience in content development, campaign coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms. Strong organizational and project management skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities. Background in social media management, digital campaigns, and e-communication tools. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and related software. Familiarity with nonprofit communications strategies and best practices (preferred). COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: In addition to a competitive base salary of $65,000 – $75,000 (DOE), this role offers a generous benefits package.
