Our practice focuses on affordable housing, renovation & historic preservation, sustainable design, mixed-use, and transit-oriented development. SMR Architects currently is seeking to add an experienced and motivated project manager to join our practice in Pioneer Square, Seattle. SMR is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The ideal candidate has an architectural degree and a minimum of 6 years’ work experience; licensure is a plus. We are seeking someone who has experience managing projects through all design phases and construction administration. The ideal candidate has interest and experience in renovation and preservation projects. Applicants should have renovation and rehabilitation background, experience with preliminary design through post construction with AIA contracts, construction drawing production, detailing, specifications, project and staff scheduling, client & consultant invoice review, and knowledge of current building, accessibility, and energy codes, including experience with Type I, III, V, and high-rise construction. Valued skills include the ability to lead teams, including consultants and clients, independent problem solving, and mentorship of internal team members to further their career advancement. Prior working history in multi-family housing and experience with Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and Enscape are benefits. Proficiency in Revit is required. SMR supports NCARB’s Architectural Experience Program (AXP) and provides opportunities to work on all phases of projects of varying size, scope, and style. We encourage the pursuit of licensure and provide support for the Architecture Registration Exams (ARE) and provide reimbursement of half the yearly dues for AIA membership.
