Overview
We are seeking a
mid-level UI/UX Web Developer (3–7 years)
with strong front-end development and user experience design skills, ideally with exposure to the
transportation and logistics
industry. This role supports the design and development of modern interfaces used across dispatch, planning, fleet operations, customer tracking, and driver interactions.
The position follows a
hybrid rotational model:
➡️
1 week onsite
with the team (collaboration, workshops, user research)
➡️
3 weeks remote
(focus time for design and development work)
This structure allows for deep collaboration during onsite weeks while enabling strong work-life balance and productivity during remote weeks.
Key Responsibilities UX Design & Research
Understand workflows across transportation environments (dispatch, routing, driver management, customer service).
Conduct user interviews during onsite weeks with dispatchers, planners, drivers, and operations teams.
Convert logistics processes into simplified, intuitive user experiences.
Produce wireframes, prototypes, journey maps, and UX specs.
Identify and solve usability issues in TMS, WMS, load boards, customer portals, and internal apps.
UI Design
Create clean, responsive UI layouts for logistics-focused web applications.
Design dashboards, load screens, tracking and visibility tools, order details, and operational components.
Maintain brand consistency through reusable UI libraries and design systems.
Optimize designs for real-world transportation environments, including mobile-friendly designs for drivers.
Front-End Development
Proficiency with an industry
tool of candidate’s choice
(e.g. Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).
Strong understanding of layout, color theory, typography, and responsive design.
Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and visual UI assets.
Basic understanding of frontend technologies (HTML/CSS).
Develop UI components using React, Vue, or Angular.
Integrate with RESTful APIs, telematics data, and TMS interfaces.
Ensure interfaces handle high-volume operational data efficiently.
Work closely with product managers, developers, and logistics subject matter experts.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (remote) and in-person strategy sessions (onsite week).
Present design ideas and prototypes to both technical and business stakeholders.
Contribute to UX strategy across customer portals, internal tools, and fleet/driver apps.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3–7 years of UI/UX and front-end development experience.
Proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar UX/UI tools.
Experience with React (preferred), Vue, or Angular.
Understanding of UX principles, user flows, and usability testing.
Experience with API-driven, data-heavy applications.
Ability to design and develop tools used in fast-paced logistics operations.
Preferred Transportation/Logistics Experience Experience with one or more of the following is highly valuable:
FTL (Full Truckload)
Intermodal / Drayage
Refrigerated / Temp-Controlled Freight
3PL operations
Dedicated fleets
Understanding of quotes, tenders, dispatching, planning, and freight visibility
Hybrid rotational work model:
1 week onsite
at company location (collaboration, workshops, research)
Standard business hours with flexibility based on project needs.
Travel required only during onsite weeks.
