Senior Director, Brand Marketing – Role Overview Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without hidden fees or compounding interest. We’re looking for a Senior Director of Brand to lead the next evolution of how we show up in the world. This role is for someone who wants to build on an existing brand foundation through ideas, storytelling, and action—beyond just deck preparation.

Reporting Structure Reporting to the VP of Communications and Brand, you’ll lead our talented Brand & Creative team—unifying design, copy and brand storytelling under a single clear vision—partnering across Communications, Social, Partner Marketing and Product Marketing to ensure every story, campaign and cultural moment feels unmistakably honest, clear and human.

What You’ll Do

Evolve “Affirm” from a static identity into a living, adaptive system that generates campaigns, guides product experiences and inspires creative ideas across every channel.

Transform the Brand & Creative team from an exclusive in‑house studio into a cultural and creative leader within the company.

Build connective tissue across Brand, Communications, Product Marketing, Partner Marketing and other teams to ensure coherence in how we show up across all touchpoints.

Develop bold, culturally relevant creative work that builds distinction, drives participation and strengthens trust.

Create frameworks and rituals that help teams move fast and produce meaningful work that actually matters.

What We’re Looking For

15+ years of experience leading brand transformations at scale—whether in‑house or agency—knowing how to build teams that ship culturally and commercially impactful work.

Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams across design, copy and brand expression.

A builder mindset—inventing new models of brand‑building rather than relying on traditional ones.

Deep understanding of how brand connects with culture, communications and business outcomes.

Exceptional creative instincts, clarity in thinking and strong communication skills.

Expertise in measurement, next‑generation products and tools that can augment and accelerate team work.

Passion for Affim’s mission—and belief that credit can work for people, not against them.

Compensation & Benefits Pay Grade – U, Equity Grade – 15

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $285,000 – $355,000. USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $253,000 – $323,000. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
