Delta is looking for a communications professional with experience and expertise in media relations, executive communications and reputation management to oversee CEO communications strategy and execution. This person will report to the Managing Director – Corporate & Executive Communications, and will work within the CEO team to develop and execute a broad, ongoing communications strategy to elevate the external and internal image of Delta’s CEO with key audiences, enhance the CEO role as the public face of the company, and safeguard the CEO’s reputation. The Senior Manager will work within a three‑person team focused on CEO communications and support, as well as work with partners across Global Communications and Delta.
Responsibilities Include
Identifying key opportunities in public engagement; traditional, digital and emerging media; public speaking; and other opportunities to present the CEO as a thought leader and visionary in the travel industry and in business generally.
Manage the CEO’s internal communications, including employee engagement, internal videos, Town Halls, company events and other employee‑facing opportunities.
Serve as a writer/editor for CEO‑authored internal and external communications, including employee memos, customer letters, social media, op‑eds, articles, and other material.
Oversee CEO social media to further position the CEO as a thought leader, humanize the individual with key audiences and position the CEO as the public face of the Delta global brand.
Provide advance prep and in‑person, day‑of support for the CEO on communications events, including media appearances, public speaking and employee engagements.
Collaborate with the CEO’s executive staff on scheduling and logistics for communication‑related events and deliverables and assisting in prioritizing executive time.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of communications or marketing; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience in executive communications and support at the C‑suite level is recommended; strong executive presence is essential.
Expertise in developing thought leadership strategies and content for executives.
Best‑in‑class writing and editing skills.
Ability to work quickly under deadline pressure.
Ability to navigate a highly‑matrixed, complex organization, develop strong peer relationships and challenge the status quo while driving alignment.
Demonstrate creativity, innovation and industry knowledge in every assignment.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
Strong organizational skills with a quality and results‑oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with a broad range of executive communications.
Communications experience supporting a major brand with a global presence.
Experience in using PR tools such as Cision and TV Eyes.
