The Vice President (VP) of Marketing is responsible for leading strategic marketing initiatives that drive patient acquisition, brand growth, physician engagement, and ancillary expansion. The role oversees the development and execution of integrated marketing plans that align with the Company’s growth objectives.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
– Develop and lead the OBGYN marketing strategy to support patient growth, provider growth and satisfaction, brand + thought leadership. Serve as strategic advisor to leadership on market positioning, branding, and competitive differentiation. Collaborate with business development, operations, and physician leadership to align marketing with growth priorities.
Brand, Communication, Engagement
– Collaborate with Sr. Director of Communications on brand positioning and ensure consistency across all lines of business. Collaborate on internal and external communications, including PR, digital presence, content strategy, and community engagement. Lead Company’s Annual Physician Engagement event.
Patient Acquisition & Growth Marketing
– Drive new patient acquisition through digital marketing, SEO/SEM, and in coordination with newly developed CRM strategies (Virtual Clinic + Athena wrap‑around). Oversee local and regional marketing plans in conjunction with program and operations team for campaign launches, ancillary development, and new physician onboarding.
Market Insights & Analytics
– Lead market research efforts to understand consumer behavior, competitive dynamics, and emerging trends. Monitor and report on campaign performance, patient conversion, and marketing metrics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA or Master’s degree strongly preferred.
12+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., VP, Sr. Director).
Prior experience in healthcare services, multi‑site physician practice management, or health‑tech strongly preferred; exposure to women’s health or specialty care a plus.
Proven ability to design and execute national and regional marketing strategies that drive measurable patient acquisition and brand growth.
Demonstrated success leading large‑scale digital campaigns, SEO/SEM, paid media, and CRM‑driven engagement.
Track record of building and evolving brand identity, messaging, and integrated communications across diverse audiences (patients, physicians, payors, community).
Experience building and scaling high‑performing teams; proven ability to mentor and develop senior marketing leaders.
Strong proficiency in marketing analytics, KPIs, funnel management, and ROI measurement.
Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, clinical leadership, business development, and IT to align marketing with growth objectives.
Experience designing and executing physician engagement or industry‑facing events preferred.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at the executive levels.
Ability to travel approximately 25‑35% of the time for physician engagement events, market visits, conferences, and leadership meetings.
