Smartly is looking for a Vice President, Marketing to define how our brand shows up and scales in the AI era. The ideal candidate blends creative instinct with performance, with experience uniting brand, creative, content, and social into a high‑impact, cohesive engine. You will set the Smartly brand vision, translate a complex technical offering into stories and experiences, and lead the development of integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, growth, and help establish Smartly as a leader in AI‑powered SaaS.

This is a high‑impact leadership role for a passionate B2B brand marketer, someone who’s built brands that break through, taken smart risks, and helped define industries. You know how to craft and launch mid‑ and lower‑funnel campaigns that capture attention, influence senior marketers, agency leaders, and industry insiders, and drive growth. And you’re ready to champion Smartly’s marketing team models what’s possible with AI‑driven advertising.

We operate on a hybrid first model with three days a week in the office (Chicago, NYC, London).

Key Responsibilities

Lead our marketing brand, content, and creative strategy to drive awareness and growth, and support our go‑to‑market strategy to increase adoption.

Oversee content marketing strategies based on business objectives, category focus and customer audience segments across all channels (online/offline/social).

Develop, communicate and maintain a unified brand story across all channels.

Champion AI adoption across Marketing, integrating AI‑powered creative, insights, and workflows into how we build brand, content, and campaigns.

Lead the creative vision and execution of Smartly’s brand design ensuring every touchpoint, from campaigns to events, reflects a cohesive and high‑impact visual identity that elevates perception, drives recognition, and differentiates Smartly in the market.

Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure that customer, vendor, employee and partnership touch points align with brand strategy and support messaging priorities.

Lead and direct external agencies responsible for the development of strategy and execution of brand initiatives.

Implement brand awareness/brand health measurement.

Build, lead and mentor top‑performing teams in creative, content, and events.

Manage the B2B marketing budget effectively, allocating resources for maximum impact and return on investment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.

15+ years of experience and proven track record leading brand marketing and events with a B2B focus.

Innovative thinker with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output.

True brand ambassador who leads from the front.

Experience building, mentoring, and coaching a team of brand marketing & events professionals.

Self‑reliant problem solver and results‑driven.

Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs.

Persuasive communicator with exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Salary USD $189,000.00 – $236,000.00
