This position is designated as a hybrid role based out of our headquarters near Carlsbad, California. The current expectation is for employees to work onsite four days per week, subject to change based on business needs. This in‑office requirement may be adjusted at the discretion of the company.

About The Position With a deep understanding of prAna’s brand, the Manager of Brand Marketing will play a key role in leading the development, planning, and execution of seasonal marketing strategies. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will help bring prAna brand and product campaigns to life across all consumer touchpoints. This pivotal role ensures the seasonal product stories align seamlessly with our brand positioning. You will support initiatives that drive brand awareness, product storytelling, and deepen the emotional connection consumers have with our brand.

How You Will Make a Difference Brand Marketing

Help lead and influence the seasonal omni‑channel marketing strategy; play a role in seasonal hindsighting and gather ongoing competitive insights to inform strategies and stay relevant

Develop seasonal marketing briefs that deliver thoughtful consumer insights, product details, and zeitgeist trends

Be a critical contributor to seasonal asset planning applying strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Partner with Creative on seasonal campaign shotlists, ensuring all necessary product detail and positioning is included. Work with channels to capture their asset needs.

Assist in development of the seasonal product messages in partnership with product merchandising to bring to life prAna’s product

Strategize brand awareness and engagement activations for the prAna consumer.

Maintain a close eye on the competition & consumer with regular deep dives and analysis that will ensure prAna’s relevance in the marketplace

Responsible for developing and maintaining the Seasonal Toolkit, working closely with Creative to ensure all brand activations, campaign assets, messaging, positioning and product details are included. Support share‑out and change management.

Support GTM and business critical marketing channels, ensuring cohesive storytelling and timely launch

Help to optimize tools and templates within the Brand Marketing organization and serve as the key owner of updating key calendars, roadmaps, and toolkits.

Partner closely with Marketing Ops Specialist on timelines and launches.

Work cross‑functionally with channels teams to put together thoughtful, cohesive plans for brand and product campaigns.

Omnichannel orchestration – knows how to create cohesion between retail, digital, and wholesale channels so that each reinforces the brand and drives total enterprise growth.

Reporting – develop holistic campaign reporting in partnership with marketing channels. Partner with DTC Analyst on regular brand awareness KPI monitoring & reporting.

PR / Events

Strategize and execute brand & community events. Working closely with retail teams on in‑store events.

Manage event, seeding, brand awareness, and swag budgets

Manage the day‑to‑day communication with external PR agency, guiding on brand & product priorities & messaging, reviewing celebrity/athlete seeding, and be the internal liaison for editor seeding and/or interview opportunities.

Share out weekly and monthly PR reporting to internal partners.

Responsible for internal PR – sharing launches, marketing activations, pr / influencer hits with the prAna and Columbia Corporate Comms team.

Sustainability

Lead sustainability brand storytelling & execution, partnering closely with Sustainability team to ensure prAna’s sustainability initiatives are brought to the consumer in an authentic way.

Passionate about building a strong brand in prAna

YOU HAVE

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field required

8+ years marketing experience in brand marketing environment, overseeing external brand marketing and advertising agencies

Experience creating multi‑channel, strategic marketing campaigns and events for brand and product launches

Experience planning and executing in‑person and virtual media launch events

Experience working in international markets

Apparel and/or sustainability marketing experience a plus

Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator preferred

Knowledge and proficiency with Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok and Pinterest

Knowledge of document management (SharePoint), DAM (data asset management) helpful

High level administrative/coordination skills (e.g., data entry, tracking, compiling data, preparing materials, presenting data and information, following up on action items related to project management)

Outdoor, yoga or other athletic experience to connect with customer needs a plus

Proficiency with MS Office (MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suites and other PLM programs

Salary Range $107,500 - $179,900
