Job Description:
The Social Content Creator Student Assistant produces short-form, student-native content for the Warrington College of Business social platforms at the University of Florida. The role requires strong familiarity with online trends, a natural creative instinct, and an obsession with social media culture. Responsibilities include ground-up content creation and event coverage-including occasional nights and weekends. The creator will have meaningful creative support and responsibility.

This role provides hands-on experience in creative content production at a major university. Students build a strong portfolio of professional short-form video, storytelling, social media strategy, and event coverage. This position prepares students for careers in digital content, creative strategy, entertainment, and media production.

Key responsabilities:

  • Capture iPhone-based vertical videos across campus and at events
  • Produce content for Instagram Reels, Stories, and YouTube Shorts
  • Identify online trends, audio, memes, and culturally relevant ideas
  • Pitch creative concepts and participate in weekly content planning
  • Coordinate or perform on-camera roles
  • Edit short-form video using mobile or desktop editing tools
  • Ensure all content aligns with UF brand and accessibility guidelines
  • Event coverage may include some nights or weekends
This is a part-time position, with 10-20 hours per week available depending on availability and project needs.

Expected Salary:
$15.00 /hour

Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience creating short-form video content (examples required)
  • Deep awareness of online culture, trends, and storytelling
  • Comfort filming and interacting with students or faculty
  • Ability to self-direct and produce consistently creative ideas


Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have these qualifications:
  • Actively creates content on Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts
  • Experience using DSLR/mirrorless cameras for photo/video
  • Familiarity with Instagram Stories tone and style
  • Experience with mobile video editing software
  • Experience using DSLR/mirrorless cameras for photo/video
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite strongly preferred
