Overview SAIC is seeking an IT Audio Visual Engineer located in Hawaii to support USINDOPACOM J76 at K. Mark Takai Pacific Warfighting Center. The role provides Tier I and Tier II VTC support during exercises and events, as well as maintenance and lifecycle management of all A/V and VTC assets. Responsibilities Provide A/V and VTC support in preparation for and during events at the Pacific Warfighting Center and other deployed locations. Support VTC’s for J7 and the Pacific Warfighting Center. Lead and coordinate new capability and upgrade projects. May be called upon to work in shifts or early morning calls with DC or EUCOM. Provide Tier II troubleshooting support for VTC and A/V equipment. Provide training to reservists and junior technicians on VTC and A/V equipment. Create training materials and write SOPs. Conduct communications checks before events. Conduct regular health checks of equipment. Manage equipment lifecycle: Conduct research into new and better A/V technologies. Recommend procurement options. Assemble BOMs (Build of Materials). Work with engineering teams to design and install new equipment. Monitor procurement process and provide status updates. Maintain backups of critical components (e.g., projector lamps). Track warranties, licenses and renewals. DRMO old equipment. May be required to support overseas events. Must be able to meet host country entry requirements. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree plus nine (9) years of related experience; or four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree. Proven experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting A/V and VTC equipment. Knowledge of telephony and teleconferencing technologies (Phone Bridges, EC-VOIP, Polycom, STE, ViPER, Red Switch, Omni). Familiarity with collaborative tools (GVS, Teams, WebEx, Zoom) and adherence to DISA STIG, SRG, and OPSEC for VTC operations. Experience with Cisco, Poly, Extron, Crestron, and AMX devices. Basic knowledge of IP networking, Office applications, and Windows clients. Knowledge of analog and digital audio mixers; Python programming knowledge desired. Ability to lift 50 lbs safely and work on ladders. Clearance Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI. US citizenship required. Certification Security+ certification prior to starting.
