Music Enrichment Facilitator

We are an early intervention provider blending the best practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with the child‑centered, inspiring principles of the Reggio‑Emilia approach. Our mission is to create rich, developmentally meaningful experiences that foster growth and joy in every child.

Base Pay Range

$21,000.00/yr - $23,000.00/yr

Compensation & Term

  • Hourly rate: $16.50 per hour
  • Term: Approximately 6 months
  • Schedule: Part‑time, approximately 25 hours per week (variable based on client enrollment)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and facilitate engaging, age‑appropriate small‑group music sessions (45‑60 minutes each).
  • Travel regularly across our five locations: Ballwin, St. Peters, Florissant, Mehlville, and Wright City.
  • Use musical activities to support goals in communication, social interaction, motor skills, and behavior regulation, in consultation with clinical supervisors.
  • Employ an emergent Reggio‑Inspired curriculum, inviting children’s interests to guide musical play and exploration.
  • Apply ABA principles (positive reinforcement, structure, routine) to maintain an engaging group environment.
  • Maintain basic session notes and communicate observations about client engagement and progress to the interdisciplinary team.
  • Maintain and organize musical instruments and materials, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel across all five service locations weekly.
  • High proficiency and skill in playing one or more instruments (e.g., guitar, piano, ukulele, percussion).
  • Proven experience working with young children (ages 2‑6 preferred), ideally in a group setting.
  • Understanding of the Reggio‑Emilia approach (child as capable, environment as third teacher).
  • Familiarity with positive behavioral strategies used in early intervention and ABA.
  • Highly energetic, empathetic, and adaptable approach to meet diverse client needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience as a performing or teaching musician.
  • Experience working with children with developmental differences is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license and up-to-date auto insurance required.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
