Role

Associate Photographers are the versatile team responsible for media collection for Homes.com and Apartments.com. Equipped with a Pro 3 Matterport, high‑definition cameras and an iPad, each Associate Photographer works in a core territory to capture virtual tours, floorplans and marketing photography for residential homes and apartments. The position requires meeting scheduled appointments, operating equipment, and coordinating with clients, sales associates, logistics, and management. Photographers are managed remotely by a local Photography Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Support marketing efforts on Homes.com and Apartments.com by capturing 3‑D virtual tours and footprints.
  • Create a portfolio of photographs that best feature homes and apartments, using photography techniques to capture the spaces in the most appealing way.
  • Work closely with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.
  • Professionally communicate with clients, sales, researcher partners, and management to strategically evaluate priorities, initiatives, and tasks.
  • Own the market—when not photographing a residential home, navigate one‑mile square grids to ensure complete commercial real‑estate data coverage, identify new inventory, missing availability, and commercial properties to be photographed.
  • Abide by CoStar safety standards to safeguard company vehicle and equipment.
  • Represent CoStar in a professional manner at all times.
  • Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.

Physical Requirements

Repetitive and frequent sitting in a car, standing and walking for up to 8 hours per day; must lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds; repetitive hand and arm movements for operating camera equipment and typing; occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying; ability to work and drive outdoors during all seasons; ability to work weekends on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of professional experience.
  • Real‑estate photography experience required.
  • Professional photographer experience or a recently earned degree in photography.
  • Experienced drone photographer with an FAA Part 107 License/Certification obtained within 30 days of offer.
  • Strong time‑management skills and a highly detailed orientation.
  • Capability to accurately capture and enter data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Apple OS, Microsoft Office, and internet applications.
  • Enjoys working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Field experience preferred.
  • Current and valid driver’s license required.
  • Successful completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check with a driving history reflecting responsible behavior.

Hourly position with monthly bonus eligibility based on performance metrics. Hourly wage equivalent to $49,000–$50,000 annually, based on relevant skills and experience, plus a generous benefits plan.

  • Virtual and in‑person mental health counseling services for individuals and families.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions.
  • Employee stock purchase plan.
  • Paid time off.
  • Tuition reimbursement.
  • Access to CoStar Group’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Employee Resource Groups.
