Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or communications.
- Experience working in the technology industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience establishing relationships with enterprise technology reporters.
- Experience working with executives and communications teams globally.
- Experience building net new campaigns and programs from the ground up.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects effectively while maintaining a sense of accountability and ownership.
- Excellent collaboration, written, and verbal communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executives and leadership teams.
About the Job
As a member of the Global Communications and Public Affairs team, you will work cross‑functionally to help communicate with journalists and other thought leaders; devise specific communications materials and campaigns; engage in face‑to‑face meetings with commentators and other opinion formers; and develop print and web‑based material supporting these campaigns.
As a Public Relations Manager, you will help communicate Google Cloud’s strategy and momentum with partners who help to promote, service, and build our AI solutions and products. This is an exciting growth opportunity to demonstrate Google Cloud’s significant momentum to external audiences in how we bring to market AI and cloud services with leading Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), systems integrators, and services partners.
In this role, you will tell stories about exciting new partnerships and highlight our partners’ success with Google Cloud. You will work directly with journalists and influencers to advance our narrative. You will draft content, including communications plans, press releases, and blog posts; plan campaigns; and bring an understanding of AI, cloud computing, and enterprise technology to the table. You will also partner with an agency team supporting Public Relations (PR) activities.
It is your job to help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders—and our own employees—about the benefits of Google's products, our distinctive company culture/values, and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. Success requires creativity, organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, and a collaborative spirit.
The U.S. base salary range for this full‑time position is $134,000–$196,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Responsibilities
- Provide external communications support for the leadership of Google Cloud’s partner organization and develop external public relations and communications programs in support of Google Cloud’s partner ecosystem.
- Find new ways to elevate our partner momentum with industry influencers and work directly with key partners to develop and execute joint communications plans.
- Own execution of public relations strategies and grow relationships with reporters who cover cloud, enterprise technology partnerships, and business.
- Collaborate with an agency team to scale PR support for Google Cloud’s extensive partner ecosystem.
- Manage ongoing executive communications and opportunities including media briefings, speaking engagements, and customer and partner activities.
