Job Title: UI Designer
Job Description
The role of the UI/UX Designer involves supporting design system work, contributing to both the creative and maintenance aspects of design. The candidate will collaborate with the team to add components and enhance the design system, focusing on product and the value it brings. The position involves a balanced mix of creative design for new features and maintaining existing designs.
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance the design system by adding components and assisting the team.
- Engage in creative design work, including creating initial screens or concepts for new features.
- Iterate on existing designs and help build the infrastructure of design components.
- Utilize Figma software for front-end and back-end design processes.
- Balance time between creative design and maintenance tasks, with potential for change over time.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Figma software.
- Expertise in interaction design and UI/UX.
- Experience in designing digital consumer-facing or enterprise products.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Interaction Design, Human Factors Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in UI designing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working across complex systems or in safety and quality regulated environments such as healthcare and banking.
- Familiarity with FDA Human Factors Regulatory Process/Requirements.
- Knowledge of FDA Guidance on Human Factors, IEC standards, and HE75.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
