Position Overview
Join the marketing team at a well‑established skilled nursing facility, located in St. Louis, Mo. The Marketing Liaison is responsible for driving top‑line revenue for the community by maintaining and exceeding budgeted occupancy, average daily census, and rate per unit revenue targets. This includes oversight of external marketing efforts, direct selling, lead generation, and the overall sales performance for the community.
Responsibilities
Conduct on‑site evaluations of patient referrals and complete daily sales calls on target market and referral sources.
Identify needs of patients/families and direct referrals to the facility.
Identify needs of the target market and represent the facility at community partner meetings.
Make daily sales calls per business development plan targets and goals.
Generate referrals for the facility to support census and quality mix goals.
Assist with development and execution of strategic and development plans, including analyzing the local healthcare system to identify market opportunities, marketing the facility's core competitive advantages, building a core selling message, and coordinating selling strategies and tactics.
Conduct on‑site patient evaluations in a timely manner after receiving inquiries with appropriate follow‑up.
Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with facility staff to identify and support their needs.
Conduct bedside sales to determine transitional needs and provide education with the patient/family regarding facility services and admissions standards.
Collaborate with the facility to understand and operationalize census and quality mix goals and referral process expectations.
Communicate with the facility administrator to ensure customer expectations are exceeded and alleviate customer issues and complaints, if applicable.
Build relationships with program managers and directors in the market.
Identify, attend, and represent the facilities at post‑acute collaborative functions.
Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred. Equivalent related work experience may be acceptable.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare, licensed clinicians preferred, but not required.
Two (2) years of sales and/or marketing experience plus case management experience preferred.
Must understand long‑term care business, including census and quality mix goals and referral expectations.
Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment.
Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and maintain multiple projects with high quality and productivity.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions.
Approachable, flexible and adaptable to change.
Ability to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and referral sources.
Starting Pay Rate
$75,000 to $85,000 based on experience.
