Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree / OK State Teaching Certificate
Responsibilities And Essential Functions
- Facilitating large projects as a result of Grant Funds. This includes multiple location projects with more than a dozen schools that could be involved in any one grant.
- Works with staff, principals and administrators at board of education level.
- Plans, directs, and manages programs and projects that involve state and federal grants to include evaluation and reporting structures significant in grant process; before/after school programming, summer programming.
- Proposal Development and Writing: Draft, edit, and refine compelling and well-organized grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents. This requires translating complex program information and data into a clear, persuasive narrative that highlights the project's need, objectives, methods, and expected impact.
- Works with the logistics and paperwork of purchase orders and management of large sums of money with Lawton Public Schools Finance Office.
- Is familiar with Indirect Cost and fiscal year processes in management of large sums of money associated with large Federal Grants.
- Works with outside consultants for evaluation and grant processing.
- Has a proven track record of success in managing grants to include any awards won by a grant that showed excellence as a result of management of that grant.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
Skills And Abilities Required
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 5 years certified experience in education
- Teacher Certification Required
