This position is located on-site (not remote) and ideally suited for candidates living in Pensacola, Florida; Tampa, Florida; Austin, Texas; or Decatur, Alabama. The Technical Services Writer works within the Technical Services organization, primarily responsible for technical writing of proposals, test plans, and reports for source testing projects. The role requires managing one's own workload, following written and verbal instructions, and communicating with Alliance stakeholders regarding document status. Responsibilities Work with scope of work personnel to write proposals based on customer information, permits, and pricing. Collaborate with project managers and data quality analysts to prepare accurate reports. Review data and provide summary information for completion of test report, then submit to project manager or Technical Services manager for review before client submission. Coordinate with project managers, technical service coordinators, and/or managers to write test plans for projects. Prepare electronic reports using EPA’s Electronic Reporting Tool (ERT) and ECMPS. Qualifications High School Diploma required; AS or BS degree preferred (Science and Engineering related fields ideal). Proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook. Strong verbal communication skills (internally and with clients and regulators). Professional appearance and behavior. Positive attitude and ability to work well in groups. Ability to prioritize and multi-task while maintaining focus. Flexibility to work outside normal hours to complete projects. Attention to detail. Physical Requirements Must be able to meet the physical demands of a typical office environment. Sitting/standing. Possible light lifting. Pay Pay will be between $20-$25 per hour, DOE.
