Job Title: Instructional Designer Location: Hybrid Work Model Reporting to Pensacola, FL Pay Rate: Open to Both C2C and W2 options Position Type: Multiyear Contract Description: To plan and manage instructional design projects and initiatives within the business unit and/oracross the organization. Develop instructional courses tailored to meet the desired learningoutcomes and needs of client and the learners. Collaborate to implement strategies foreducating and training employees to achieve higher levels of performance. Utilize a variety oftechniques to define and sequence instructional content and strategies. Create curricula by quicklyand efficiently learning/processing large volumes of information and by conducting research onsubject matter. Remain supportive of business unit/organizational training needs and refresh thetraining and materials as needed throughout its lifecycle. Work under minimal supervision. Responsibilities Advise and assist trainers on course evaluation results Collaborate with others to plan and design courses and curricula; ensure accuracy of contentand test multimedia elements Conduct needs assessment on request from business unit management to providecustomized training or individual guidance to improve and develop performance Create and edit new LMS learning activities; set up required training assignments in LMS;create custom LMS reports Create dynamic instructional and training materials using current technologies includingreferences and support tools that reinforce training, increase efficiency and help produceerror-free work Develop and test course content, training games, graphic designs and other technology-driven products Develop classroom, on-line and/or independent learning program content that transfersknowledge effectively and brings about desired behavior changeli> Develop instructional strategies and courses for a business unit and/or cross-companyproducts and skills Evaluate the effectiveness of courses, learning products and delivery methods to ensure thatthe desired learning objectives and goals are achieved Involved in instructional design project teams with multiple deliverables, significant risk andcomplexity Select most effective instructional approach including a blend of instructor-led and/or self-directed techniques Select, modify, or establish a design and development model appropriate for a given project;analyze learning needs to assist in establishing learning objectives Train internal team members on effective use of classroom materials including ILT and VILTand environments Validate and integrate feedback, assessments, and course evaluations into current and newtraining course content and/or delivery vehicle Conduct presentations for various groups including leadership Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 2-4 years of instructional design or curriculum development experience or equivalenteducation. Advanced knowledge of Instructional Design Processes (including ADDIE & SAM) and AdultLearning Theory eLearning Design experience Articulate Rise and Storyline proficient Experience converting instructor led content to self-paced Ability to adapt to fluctuating workflow Ability to compile, organize and present information clearly and concisely Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of courses and learning products and deliverymethods Experience in researching/writing course content and/or developing courses,demonstrations, graphic designs and other technology driven products Advanced knowledge of instructional theories, educational psychology, educational theory,tools and resources Working knowledge of instructional design to develop courses for products, processesand/or skills Effective database and presentation software skills Effective organizational, planning and time management skills Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills Effective skill capturing and translating processes and requirements into easily understoodterms Effective skill collaborating with various external and internal technical and/or functionalcontacts Effective skill communicating with all levels organization Effective skill in assessing organizational training needs and researching topics for coursedevelopment Effective skill interacting tactfully and effectively in difficult situations Effective verbal and written communication skills Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
