UI Architect Requirements for FIOS Suite Modernization
Technical Expertise
Strong understanding of micro frontend patterns (Module Federation, Web Components, etc.)
Experience with legacy UI migration and integration strategies
Familiarity with shared UI libraries
Knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and backend-for-frontend (BFF) patterns
* Should have expertise in material up
Define the overall micro frontend architecture (routing, shell/container, communication)
Design a strategy for incremental migration of legacy screens to micro frontends
Establish standards for UI consistency, theming, and branding across micro frontends
Plan for shared authentication, authorization, and session management
Enable seamless integration of new micro frontends with existing legacy modules during transition
Define contracts for inter-micro frontend communication (events, shared state, APIs)
Ensure backward compatibility and minimal disruption to business users
DevOps & CI/CD
Architect build and deployment pipelines for independent micro frontend teams
Enable independent development, testing, and deployment of micro frontends
Plan for versioning, rollback, and hot-reload capabilities
Performance & Scalability
Optimize for fast load times (code splitting, lazy loading, CDN usage)
Ensure scalability for large user bases and high concurrency
Plan for monitoring, logging, and error tracking in distributed UI
Security & Compliance
Ensure secure communication between micro frontends and backend services
Comply with accessibility and regulatory standards
User Experience
Drive a unified, intuitive, and responsive user experience across all modules
Enable user personalization and role-based UI rendering
Documentation & Governance
Document architecture, design patterns, and migration guidelines
Define coding standards, review processes, and UI governance
Mentor and guide UI /UX and frontend teams
Stakeholder Communication
Collaborate with business, product owners, and backend architects
Present modernization roadmap, risks, and progress to leadership
