We are seeking an experienced Community Manager for a 98-unit LIHTC community located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Community Manager and a strong understanding of LIHTC regulations and compliance. Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the community including maintaining all files and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal agencies; completing move-ins and move-outs with their corresponding inspections; and providing a high level of customer service to current and prospective residents, while promoting strong resident relations and handling all resident complaints.
  • Undertake the fiscal responsibilities of the community by preparing an annual budget; optimizing rent to achieve growth in gross potential rent (GPR) while maintaining a high occupancy; completing variance and weekly reports; refunding security deposits; processing invoices and daily deposits; and controlling delinquency, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR).
  • Promoting teamwork to achieve a common goal by hiring, training, and motivating community personnel.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of experience in the multi-family housing industry
  • Affordable Housing Requirements – LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, HOME or other affordable housing programs
  • A valid driver’s license to operate the company vehicle/golf cart
  • Experience with specialized property management software (RealPage, OneSite, and/or Yardi), or the ability to learn such software
  • A working knowledge of current technologies and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to understand financial reports including Profit and Loss statements and General Ledgers
  • Spanish fluency is required to effectively communicate with our diverse resident population
  • Schedule Requirements: Monday - Friday
