HubSpot Marketing Automation and Member Acquisition Specialist

Role Overview The HubSpot Marketing Automation and Member Acquisition Specialist architects, designs, writes, and deploys the marketing automation systems that drive new membership growth. This role owns the entire customer acquisition lifecycle inside HubSpot, including lead nurturing, email and SMS automation, segmentation, and lead scoring.
What You Will Do
Build, manage, and optimize complex HubSpot workflows that guide prospects through the acquisition lifecycle.
Create robust reporting within HubSpot on the full member acquisition lifecycle.
Develop and maintain the lead scoring pipeline and stage progression logic from Lead to SQL.
Write persuasive, conversion‑focused copy for all automated and campaign‑based email and SMS communications.
Design and build emails directly in HubSpot using modules, templates, or custom layouts.
Ensure all automated content matches brand voice and direct response best practices.
Continuously iterate on messaging based on performance data.
Build and maintain a HubSpot lead scoring system based on engagement, behavior, demographics, and buying intent.
Automate the progression of leads to MQL and SQL status based on defined criteria.
Collaborate with internal teams to refine qualification thresholds and handoff processes.
Create and maintain dynamic lists and smart segments based on behavior, lifecycle stage, and acquisition source.
Maintain data hygiene across properties, lists, workflows, and triggers.
Implement automated retargeting through email and SMS for nonmembers to keep prospects engaged throughout the acquisition journey.
Build multi‑step nurture sequences customized to intent signals such as pricing page views, lead‑magnet interactions, high engagement, and other website behaviors.
Ensure high‑intent leads are surfaced to sales or membership teams when appropriate.
Build dashboards and reports for new lead flow, lead scoring and progression, nurture engagement, workflow performance, and MQL to SQL conversion.
Provide insights to refine automation logic, messaging, and segmentation based on data.
Partner with the funnel optimization team to ensure automation complements page and offer performance.
Collaborate with leadership, creative teams, and external partners to ensure consistent messaging and acquisition strategy.
Support advertising agencies with follow‑up messaging and scripts.
Requirements for Success
Deep experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub automation, workflows, segmentation, and lead scoring.
Expertise in HubSpot reporting.
Strong email design and direct response copywriting skills.
Strong understanding of membership nurture and acquisition strategy.
Ability to design and build emails using HubSpot’s email tools and templates.
Attention to detail in managing workflow logic, triggers, and data structures.
Ability to interpret performance data and adjust nurture and automation systems accordingly.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Organized, self‑directed, and able to manage multiple automation tracks simultaneously.

Work Environment Location: Remote
Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
